Mildred Madonna Ashabraner

INDIANAPOLIS - Mildred Madonna Zimbro Ashabraner, 83, passed away at 6:40 PM on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at her residence. She was born on October 1, 1939 to the late Clarence Sanders and Burnette Olethia Brink Zimbro in Effingham, Illinois. Mildred graduated in 1957 from Silvercreek High School in Sellersburg, Indiana. Professionally, she worked for Polygram entering data and then Necomer Lumber Company in customer service.

She enjoyed going to church and having lunch dates with friends. Mildred was passionate about helping others. She loved spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. In her leisure, Mildred often worked in the yard.

Mildred is survived by her loving daughter, Gale Leitzman and her husband, Toby; her loving son, Todd Ashabraner and his significant other, Sara Lycko; and her loving grandchildren: Autumn, Todd Jr., Marcus and Xavier Ashabraner. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her siblings: Clarence Zimbro, Marvin Zimbro, Jerry Zimbro, William Zimbro, Mable Wagner, Elise Zimbro, Ethel Hensley and Judy Pope.

Mildred's friends and family may visit from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Brandon Awrey officiating.
