Michael W. White, Sr.

Michael Wayne "Bunny" White, Sr., age 66 of Camby, passed away following an extended illness on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born August 31, 1956 in Beech Grove, the son of Chester White and Edith Ritter. Mike was a 1974 graduate of Manual High School and following graduation he began working. He retired after 40 years from Lane Bryant as a warehouse supply specialist. He was one of the hardest workers and embraced the many friendships he made there. Mike loved going to work so much that he even went to work during the blizzard of 1978. He was a sports man, especially enjoying the Sweet 16 basketball games with friends, many trips to NASCAR races with his father, uncles, sons and cousins and attending football parties and games. Mike liked listening to real country music such as Hank Williams, Jr. If you spent time with Mike you knew he always had a good joke to tell and was a true gentleman to women. More than anything, Mike loved life and spending time with his family.

Mike is survived by his 5 children, Jeffery S. White, Crystal D. White, Michael W. (wife Rikki) White, Jr., Keith Ward and Dakota White; brother, Kerry L. (wife Kim) White; 14 grandchildren, Jeffery White, Jr., Christopher Clay, Tyler Bingham, Carla Childs, Ryan White, Desaray Shearer, Breydon LaFollette, Michael W. White, III, Josiah White, Erick White, Keith Ward, Keegan Ward, Dannita White and Nova White; 2 great-grandchildren, Benjamin White and Brooklynn Boudreau; and several extended family members and friends.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Catherine J. White.

Mike's wishes were to be cremated and the family will have a celebration of life at a later date. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions in Indianapolis is honored to handle Mike's arrangements.
