Michael S. Koharchik Jr., 85, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018. Michael was born on July 26, 1932 in Windber, Pennsylvania to Michael Koharchik and Mary Koharchik.
Mike married the former: Barbara Green on August 6, 1960 in Johnstown, PA. They raised their family in Hammond, Indiana and just recently moved to Indianapolis. Mike enjoyed singing with his church choir, as well as with his barber shop group "Chorus of the Dunes." Mike and Babs always kept the door open to entertain family and friends around the dinner table.
Mike was a long time employee of Federal Cement Products in Hammond.
He is survived by his loving wife: Barbara J. Koharchik; children and their spouses: Christine & Jonathan Tomasic, Richard M. & Michelle Koharchik, Robert M. & Constance Koharchik, Ryan M. & Mikayla Koharchik; grandchildren: Kailee, Kirsten, Rachel, Michael, Reed, Rowan; siblings: Joseph & Sandy Koharchik, Patricia Caton and a host of other family and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: John Koharchik, Mary Ann Youhas, George Koharchik, Josephine Kieta and Dorothy Nosse.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 12 P.M. until his funeral service at 2 P.M. at Newcomer - Indianapolis Chapel, 925 E. Hanna Ave., IN 46227.
