Michael King, 69, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017.
Michael was born on December 5, 1947 in Gary, Indiana to John Gifford King and Shirley B. King both of whom precede him in death.
On May 2, 1981 he married Carolyn Wilson King in Gary. Michael worked at LTV Steele as a Crane Operator for 36 years retiring in 2003. Michael was a CB enthusiast and a DJ. His CB handle was "Soul Explosion."
Michael is preceded in death by his parents; brother: Sherman Harris.
He is survived by wife: Carolyn King; children: Shaun Phillip King (Angela) of Wood River, IL; Demetria Shonelle Page (Adam) of Indianapolis; Michael Von Erik of Hobart; grandchildren: Shaunice King, Ashlyn Page, Adam Page Jr., Alayna Page, and a host of other family and friends.
Family will receive friends on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Indianapolis Chapel, 925 East Hanna Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana 46227.
