Michael E. Farr

Michael E. Farr, age 62 of Beech Grove, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis following an extended illness. He was born May 23, 1961 in Indianapolis the son of Daniel and Linda (Reed) Farr. Mike married Jennifer Binkley on January 1, 1987 in Castleton, Indiana. For over 40 years, Mike ran a very reputable carpet business. He enjoyed working hard and was very talented at laying carpet. Mike enjoyed being outdoors sitting around a bonfire, cooking out and playing corn hole with his family and friends. He liked to play video games, watch television and listen to good music. There was nothing in the world that Mike loved more than his family and his pets.

Mike is survived by his wife of over 36 years, Jennifer Farr; father, Daniel Farr; 5 children, Michael Farr, Jr., Jon Christopher Farr, Tia (John Campbell) Shaw, Jerry (Stephanie Carver) Shaw and Roger (Heather) Farr; 8 grandchildren, Alexis Shaw, Tyler Wells, Arayia McGlothlin, Delaney Campbell, Trevon Shaw, Nevaeh Shaw, Kyrstin Farr and Kaiden Farr; 4 siblings, Cheryl (Mark) Singhurst, Rhonda (Mark) Johnson, Donna Schultz and Steven (Shelly) Farr; and many nieces and nephews.

Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Farr.

Mike's wishes were to be cremated and the family will have a celebration of life at a later date. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions in Indianapolis, Indiana is honored to handle Mike's arrangements.
