Michael Jerome Doran

Indianapolis - Michael Jerome Doran, 66, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024. He was born July 31, 1957 in Beech Grove, IN to the late Norval “Ed” and Vickie Blackshear Doran. He graduated from Beech Grove High School in 1975 and Marian College (now Marian University) in 1981. He was employed in the healthcare industry where he served as a medical technologist.

Michael enjoyed computer gaming, particularly Fortnite. He was an avid fan of the Indiana Pacers and the Indianapolis Colts. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, camping, trying out new restaurants and special events like the upcoming eclipse.

Michael loved his wife, his friends and his family, especially his great nephews. His family described him as a kind-hearted prankster, especially on April Fool’s Day. He was a member of the Garfield Park Master Gardeners club and he served as a volunteer gardener at the Indianapolis Zoo.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Norval “Ed” and Vickie Blackshear Doran and his brother, Christopher. He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Nikki Doran; sister, Michele Farris; one (1) niece; three (3) nephews; and five (5) great nephews.
