Indianapolis – Maurice Lee Lucas, age 82, passed away at 10:15 AM on Monday, May 24, 2021 at Franciscan Health Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born to the late Maurice Lee Lucas and Helen (Doyle) Wood on April 11, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Maurice enjoyed traveling and working on cars.
He is survived by his loving children: April Lucas, Beth Majors, Angie Ball, Michelle Lucas, David Dearth, Ty Dearth and Sandy Pederson. As well as 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Maurice was preceded in death by his wife Georgia.
Maurice's friends & family may visit from 5 - 7 PM on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 4, 2021 at the funeral home with Pastor Brad Flaskamp officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208.
