Mary Francis Willis

Indianapolis - Mary Francis Willis, 81, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024. She was born May 9, 1942 in Indianapolis to the late Charles and Ethel Smith Brummett. She served her family as a homemaker.

Mary’s family described her as a woman with a great sense of humor who enjoyed exploring the town and watching Tyler Perry movies. Her hobbies included shopping and watching TV. Additionally, she loved going out to dinner and spoiling her great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ethel Smith Brummett; sister, Joyce McMillan; husband, Johnathon Willis; life partner, Timothy Rutledge; grandson, Thomas; and granddaughter, Maria. She is survived by her children: Thomas Willis and his wife, Dana, Diana Byers, Daniel Willis and Angela Myles; brother-in-law, Walter McMillan; grandchildren: Amanda Brunett and her husband, Ryan, Timothy White, Avril Buberschmidt, Meika Willis, Alysia Willis, Danielle Willis, Noel Willis, Andrew Willis, Tionna Willis, Sierra Myles, Robbie Fitch and Manny Willis; great grandchildren: Robbie, Delaiah, Levi, Rhae, Tony, Dre, Prince, Eli, Zo, Coriah, Malakai, Mazikeen and Michael; nephew, Walter Griffin; and many other loving family members and dear friends.
