Mooresville - Mary Bell (Hamblin) Maines, 77, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. She was born to the late Boyd and Oma (Bolin) Hamblin on December 8, 1943 in Hazard, Kentucky. She was united in marriage on March 20, 1965 to Kenneth Maines in Seymour, Indiana. This union was blessed with 3 children.

Mary enjoyed shopping, traveling, cooking, canning fruits and vegetables and attending garage sales. She was a member for 47 years at Full Gospel Tabernacle, joining the church in 1973 where she enjoyed fellowshipping with the people. She would make delicious fried chicken for church road trips and pass out chicken legs as they crossed the river on the way to Georgia. Mary loved spending time with her grandson and family. Everyone loved Mary's homemade mashed potatoes she made for church fellowship.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Oma Hamblin, father, Boyd Hamblin, brother, John Hamblin, sister, Della Huff, brother, Arnold Jack Hamblin, sister, Versie Spencer, sister, Haley Colwell, brother, Pearl Hamblin, son, Donnie Maines.

Mary is survived by her loving Husband of nearly 55 years, Kenneth Maines; her children, Ronnie Maines and Angela Faye "Angie" Smith and her husband Adam; her brothers, Lawrence Hamblin, Yancey Hamblin and Edward Hamblin; her sisters, Norma Beachman and Sadie Crouch; and her grandson, Isaac Smith. Also, she is survived by many nieces, nephews and extended relatives.

Mary's friends can visit from 11 am to 1 pm on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Full Gospel Tabernacle, 543 East Chambers Pike, Bloomington, Indiana 47404. The Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm with Pastor Timothy McKay officiating. Procession will follow to burial at New South Park Cemetery, Martinsville, Indiana.
