Mary Patricia Flaherty

Indianapolis - Mary Patricia Flaherty, 68, passed away Tuesday, May 05, 2020, at St. Francis Hospital. Mary Pat was born January 25, 1952 in Indianapolis to the late Helena T. Quinn Williams Flaherty and Thomas J. Flaherty. She attended the Oldenburg Academy of the Immaculate Conception for high school and graduated from Roncalli High School in 1971. She later enjoyed spending time in Oldenburg for retreats and social gatherings. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Rolls Royce.

Mary Pat lived on the Southside of Indianapolis and attended Holy Cross School and Saint Jude School and Church. She was a big fan of football, especially Notre Dame Football. She loved to play euchre and chess with family and friends. Mary Pat was an associate member of the Sisters of Saint Francis, in Oldenburg, Indiana, and a member of the Cursillo Sisters. Her family will remember her as a loving mother, grandmother and aunt.

Mary Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas J. Flaherty and Helena T. Quinn Flaherty and her sister, Nancy Kaye Williams Martin. She is survived by her daughter, Angela Decker Jones; son, Thomas Decker; grandsons, Levi and Kaiden; and many other loving family members and dear friends.
