Marleen Sue Weyant

Marleen Sue Weyant, 71, passed away surrounded by family Wednesday, March 26th, 2025.

She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 2, 1953  to the late Henry and Catherine Corso. 

Marleen met the love of her life in Clear Water, Florida.  He was smitten and professed his love as well as his intentions to marry her on the very first day they met.  On October 14th, 1978 they were married and would go on to enjoy 33 years of marriage. Together they had two children. In 1988 they moved to the small town of Seymour, Indiana where they raised their children as well as later enjoyed their beautiful grandchildren.  

Marleen was a giving person with an infectious smile.   She had a great love of music and could often be found listening to her favorite songs.  Music made her happy even when life was hard. Marleen enjoyed country drives, spending time with family, and making people smile.   She was constantly worried about others and was quick to give even if it meant giving all that she had.  

Marleen worked as a production operator for Valeo Sylvania in Seymour, IN for over 20 years.   In her retirement she moved to Indianapolis, IN where she lived out her days surrounded by her daughter and family.

Marleen will be missed by many.  However, her spirit for life will always be felt by those she loved. Especially her daughter, son in law, three  granddaughters and her nephew Jeremy Blatz whom she loved like a son. 

She is survived by daughter Jennifer (John) Hines; granddaughter's Emaleigh, Abigail and Madison Hines; Sisters Carol(Terry) Daniel, Kathy (Joseph) Doogan,  Judy Corso, Patricia (Richard) Wendling; brothers Ronald (Virginia) Corso, David (JoAnna) Corso; brothers-in law Jerry Weyant, Harry (Cheryl) Weyant, Ronald (Debbie) Weyant, Edward (Kimberly) Weyant and Duane Weyant; sisters-in-law Linda Weyant, Sharon Weyant; numerous nieces and nephews.

Marleen was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Catherine (nee Carey) Corso ; husband Gary Weyant; son Christopher Weyant; brothers Robert Corso, James Corso; father-in-law Harry Weyant; mother-in-law Louise (nee Butler) Weyant;sisters-in-law Connie Wireman, Barbra Weyant; as well as 2 nephews and 4 nieces. 

We will celebrate Marleen's life on April 12th, 2025  from 2-5pm at Venue on Park Avenue 211 W Park Ave. Greenfield, IN 46140.
