Mark E. Heimbuch, age 69 of Indianapolis passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at his residence. He was born March 18, 1953 in Indianapolis the son of Ernest and Affy (Hondalus) Heimbuch. Mark was a 1971 graduate of Northwest High School. He married Emma Cherry on June 11, 1994 in Indianapolis. Mark worked for nearly 30 years as a machinist at Elmco Engineering until he retired. He enjoyed camping, swimming, scuba diving, riding horses and especially eating Emma's homemade meals. Mark and Emma liked to travel and experience new adventures together, with one of their favorite trips being an Alaskan cruise. He adored his dog, "Queen" who he would refer to as his little girl and his baby. Mark and Emma tried to always take a daily walk together with Queen, after he rode his miles on his bicycle. He was always willing to help anyone in need. More than anything, Mark will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Mark is survived by his wife Emma Heimbuch; daughter, Kate (husband Jason) Mitchell; 2 brothers, Scott (wife Susan) Heimbuch and Todd (wife Michelle) Heimbuch; 2 grandsons, Jackson Mitchell and Bryan Webb; 2 nephews, Aaron Heimbuch and Ian Heimbuch; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents and a step-son, Steven Scott.
Mark's wishes were to be cremated with no formal services at this time. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions in Indianapolis is honored to handle Mark's arrangements.
