January 30, 1957 — July 11, 2022

Marilyn K. Moore, age 65 of Indianapolis passed away peacefully on Monday, July 11, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis following a brave battle with cancer. She was born January 30, 1957 in Richmond, Indiana the daughter of Billy and Phyllis (Ogle) Satterfield. Marilyn graduated from Richmond High School and following graduation, she began a career in nursing. She served her community as a certified nursing assistant for over 40 years. During those 40 years, she touched many people's lives and dedicated her time to their well being. Marilyn was an astounding mother, sister and grandmother. You could always count on Marilyn to cook an amazing meal and keep a perfectly clean home. She took great pride in her plants and all of her collectibles. When she wasn't providing for others and taking care of her loved ones, she enjoyed watching "Breaking Bad" and many different movies with her grandchildren and great-great grandson. Marilyn would never turn away a sole and she was determined to make a difference in everyone's life she touched. More than anything, Marilyn loved her family and was the definition of an amazing matriarch.

Marilyn is survived by 3 children, Cleo (Stacy) Carpenter, Jacob (Amanda) Moore and Tyshawna Carpenter; 2 siblings, Michelle Satterfield and Phillip Satterfield; 11 grandchildren, Devante Kennedy, Nachelle Satterfield, Donovan Brown, Nick Schroeder, Tytiana Kennedy, Tylonna Carpenter, Jacob (Gabby) Moore II, Gage Stephenson, Gianai Stephenson, Josiah Moore and Jordyn Moore; 6 great-grandchildren, Isaih Moore, Britton Eines, Javen Kennedy, Zoey Kennedy, Emery Brown and Ava Brown; special friend of over 40 years, Julie Ann Bragg; many nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Tyneshia Satterfield.

A celebration of Marilyn's life will take place on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 10 am to 3 pm at Christian Park Recreation Center, 4200 English Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46201. Marilyn's wishes were to be cremated and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions is honored to handle those arrangements for Marilyn and her family.
