Marilyn Rose Long

Indianapolis - Marilyn Rose Long, age 65, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born August 11, 1957 in Hibernia, Indiana, the daughter of George W. and Lilian (Brison) Doyle. She worked for many years as the assistant manager at Dollar General. Marilyn enjoyed being outdoors gardening and camping. She found great peace sitting on her porch watching the birds. She liked to attend cookouts with her family and friends at the park. Marilyn loved to play horseshoes and take walks out by the water. Marilyn loved nothing more in this world than her family.

Marilyn is survived by her partner in life, Barbara Allen; 3 children, Aaron Doyle, Carolyn Munoz and Jessica Long; 5 siblings, Pat Brandt, Linda Wise, Johnny Doyle, Steve Doyle and Jerry Doyle; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ray Doyle; and sister, Judy Stone.

A funeral service celebrating Marilyn's life will take place at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 925 E. Hanna Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the funeral on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral at Concordia Cemetery in Indianapolis.
