Luann Knight

Luann Knight, age 80 of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis following an extended illness. Luann was born August 26, 1942 in Scottsville, Kentucky the daughter of Edward and Mattie (Harrison) Spencer. She attended Wood High School. Luann married the love of her life, Jack Knight on January 27, 1965 in Indianapolis. She enjoyed listening to country music and spending time with her grandchildren. Luann was an outstanding mother, wife and grandmother and was always there for everyone.

Luann is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jack Knight; 5 children, Sandy, Ginger, Jackie, Tonya and Jamie; 2 siblings, Tootsie and Sue; 9 grandchildren, Danny, Derek, Corey, T.J., Tori, Kasie, Jack Lucas, Timmy and Reanna; 11 great-grandchildren, Elijah, Emily, Alayna, Abbie, Alison, Devin, Mattie, Claire, Aubree, Gunner and Leonidas; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Luann is preceded in death by her parents; son, Tommy Gene; daughter, Cindy; sister, Vicki; brother, Jimmy; and great-great grandson, Luke Daniel.

Luann's wishes were to be cremated and have no formal services. Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory is honored to handle Luann's funeral arrangements.
