Lois Noland

December 29, 1927 — April 17, 2016

Indianapolis - Lois Virginia Noland, 88, passed into Glory with Christ in her sleep on April 17, 2016. Lois was born on December 29, 1927 in Monticello, KY to John and Josie (Harmon) Bridgeman. Lois was one of nine siblings with very close family ties all through her life. She loved playing fast pitch softball in her younger days, and became an avid bowler. After marrying in 1956, she and her husband Bruce spent several years in the Air Force before settling in Indianapolis in 1966. Lois worked for over 25 years with SGI (formerly Service Graphics) in the printing and binding industry.

Lois was beyond loyal to her family and friends. She was a member of Speedway Baptist Church for over 40 years. Her deep faith in Christ and gratitude for His blessings in her life fed her extreme generosity to all who knew her. Lois taught her family how to work hard until the task is finished regardless of the challenges and then how to rest completely. As her body and mind failed in recent months, Lois continued to share her kindness and sweet smile with caregivers, family and friends. She refused to complain in light of God's grace in her life, and let everyone know that hugs and kisses are free.

Lois is survived by her loving daughter, Toni (husband Dan Kanzler); grandsons Adam (Hayleigh) Kanzler of Indianapolis, Drew Kanzler of Carbondale, IL, and Ethan Kanzler of Indianapolis; brother George (Sandra) Bridgeman of Indianapolis; brother JR (Joyce) Bridgeman of Carmi, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Bruce, her parents and several siblings. Her welcoming smile and great generosity will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her family and friends.
