Lisa C. Daniels

Lisa Cathryn "Cathy" (Shipley) Daniels, age 64, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, following an extended illness. She was born June 5,1958 in Phoenix, Arizona, the daughter of Riley Oliver and Sarah Cathryn (Leggins) Shipley, Sr. Cathy was a talented song writer, a beautiful singer and dancer, and loved playing guitar. She cared for people and critters alike, and never met a stranger.


Cathy is survived by her 6 children; William L. Daniels III, Sarah G. (Jeffrey) Swanson, Lisa C. Daniels, Joseph B. Daniels, Robert B. Daniels (Jen Roser), and Eugene B. Daniels; 5 siblings, Lana E. (Virgil) Carter, Riley O. Shipley, Jr., Rita C. Fox, Stephen D. Shipley and Gary R. "Randy" Shipley; 17 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and friends.


Cathy is preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings, James L. "Toad" Shipley, Richard W. "Ric" Shipley, Kevin D. Shipley and Laura C. "Candy" (Shipley) Daniels.


Cathy's wishes were to be cremated and have her ashes spread in Brown County. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions is honored to handle Cathy's cremation arrangements.
