Lamona Sue Curry

Indianapolis - Lamona Sue "Mona" Curry, 55, was born March 9, 1967 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Velma Pittman Baugh and Albert Lee. She graduated from Decatur High School in 1985 and went on to earn her bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Indiana Wesleyan University. During her career, she was employed by both Tom Wood and Ponderosa. Mona's hobbies included couponing and shopping with her sister. She loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed meeting new people.

Mona was preceded in death by her mother, Velma Pittman Baugh; father, Albert Lee; sister, Cheryl Hubbard; and step-father, William Baugh. She is survived by her son, Michael Curry; daughter, Kimberly Curry; brother, Allen Lee; grandchildren, Haven and Kai Curry; beloved partner of 15 years, Phil Lehr and his children, Ryan and Owen Lehr; and many other loving family members and dear friends.

Mona's family will receive friends Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 4 – 8 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will follow Friday, February 17, 2023, at 10 am at the funeral home.
