INDIANAPOLIS – Kimberly Dawn Henry, age 38, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 24, 2024 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Michael A. Henry and Alice J. Wildrick. Kimberly was born on June 17, 1986 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
She graduated high school in 2003 at Neighborhood Fellowship. Kimberly attended the Wheeler Mission from age 5 to 24. She met the love of her life 16 ½ years ago, Richard F. Hansen and they had a son together. Kimberly was a homemaker and cherished staying home to raise her son, John Hansen. She loved her son and spouse immensely.
In her free time, Kimberly enjoyed spending time with friends and family, traveling and fishing. She loved the outdoors and nature soaking. Kimberly was passionate about helping others when she could.
She was extremely outspoken and was often told she had no filter. Everyone will remember Kimberly for her brutal honesty and love for herbal remedies. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
Kimberly is survived by her loving spouse of nearly 17 years, Richard F. Hansen; son, John Hansen; siblings, Whitney, Anthony and Jim Henry; aunts and uncles: Kimberly Henry-Tate, Teresa Henry, John Henry, Norman Henry, Christine Scruggs, Katrina Henry, Henry Gibson, Georgia Gibson and Teresa Hawkins; wife, Windi Bennet; godparents, Jim and Tammy Ellis; and her brother from another mother, Travis Bauman.
In addition to her parents, Kimberly was preceded in death by her in-laws, Richard L. Hansen and Joyce F. King and grandparents, John and Sharon Henry.
A celebration of Kimberly’s life will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, June 28, 2024 at the “Beech Shelter” located in Sarah T Bolton Park, 1300 Churchman Avenue, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107.
