Kayvon Letrell Richardson, age 34 passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2022. He was born November 27, 1988 in Chicago, IL the son of Virginia "Dee" Hale. Kayvon was a 2007 graduate of Warren Central High School in Indianapolis. Kayvon was an outstanding tattoo artist and was the CEO of Kayvon Tattooman. He is well known around the Indianapolis area for his tattoo work. Kayvon not only was a great tattooist, but was also an amazing drawer, painter and piercer. He enjoyed driving fast cars, especially Corvettes and Camaros. Kayvon was a member of the MBK (My Brother's Keeper). He had a heart of gold, and for many years, Kayvon would hand out financial blessings to completely random strangers on the streets of Indianapolis. Kayvon loved all of his family, but there was nobody in the world he loved more than his son.
Kayvon is survived by his mother, Virginia "Dee" Hale; son, Kayvon L. Richardson, Jr.; goddaughter, Nevaeh Winkle; special niece, Kyliah L. Richardson; 6 siblings, Kenneth Richardson, Kym Richardson, Derrick Houston, SaVandrea Houston, Larry Houston, Jr. and Kaisaiah Hale; 2 special brothers, Andre and Andrew; grandmother, Andrea Hale; grandfather, Artee Franklin; 3 uncles, Gregory, Leeigenice and Marsia; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
Kayvon is preceded in death by, Elizabeth Christian (Granny); Mary Anna Pruitt (Momma Mary); Lance Hale (Scottie); and Brenda Parker.
A celebration of of Kayvon's life and legacy will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 E. Hanna Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227. Following the visitation at the funeral home, there will be a reception from 4:00 – 10:00 pm held at the Moose Lodge 17, 7055 E. 16th St. Indianapolis, IN 46219.
