Karen Sue Treadway

Karen Sue Treadway, 53, passed away on September 18, 2020 at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis. Karen was born on October 1, 1966 in Louisville, Kentucky to Dennis and Normal (Hall) Thomas, Sr. In 2000, Karen married Jason Venis. She loved bingo, her dogs, and her family. Karen also enjoyed scrapping. More importantly, Karen was both a mother and father figure to many in her family and family friends. Although she did not have much, she was more than willing to share what she had with anyone.

In addition to Jason, Karen is survived by her mother, Norma; children: Kristy Thomas, Brandon Thomas, Douglas Werner and Bradley Werner; grandchildren: Dexter, Zachary and Travis Williams, Noah, Stormy, Summer, Paige, Jena and Tori Thomas, Demi, Kellie Werner, Bradley Werner, Jr., Kaitlynn and Jazlynn Werner; brothers: Dennis Thomas, Jr., Troy and Joey Thomas; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Karen was preceded in death by her father and brother Stanley "Mouse" Thomas.

Funeral services for Karen will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, September 25, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions 925 East Hanna Avenue in Indianapolis. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the service Friday.

Those attended the visitation or services are asked to wear face coverings in compliance with the Marion County, Indiana COVD-19 mandates.
