Indianapolis – Judy Darlene Kirby Wyman, 75, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, February 17, 2022. She was born July 16, 1946 in Indianapolis to the late Robert Leo and Laura Estelle Day Kirby. She married the late Jerry Wyman in Las Vegas, NV in 1991. Judy had several careers in her life, from bar owner to beautician and Yellow Cab driver and dispatcher to manager at the Indianapolis Airport Authority.
Judy loved life and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving and giving person. She spent the last few years dealing with health issues; but two days before she died, she was singing, "I'm going to heaven." Her family knows she is at peace. In a final act of love, Judy donated her eyes so that others may have the gift of sight.
Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Wyman; parents, Robert Leo and Laura Estelle Day Kirby; sisters: LaVonne, Roberta, Bobby and Maury Rose; and brother, Marvin. She is survived by her sons, David Bowles and his wife, Tina and Randy Bowles; sisters, Wilma Carson and Tanya Sue Bowles; brothers, David and Larry Kirby; grandchildren: Chloe, Kenny, Jay, Randy, Miranda, Zeb, Lauren and Wyatt; several great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and dear friends.
Judy's family will receive friends Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 4 – 7 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will be conducted Friday, February 25, 2022, at 11 am at the funeral home. A committal service will follow at Union Chapel Cemetery, 8306 Union Chapel Road, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
