Judith Ann "Judy" Burton

INDIANAPOLIS – Judith Ann “Judy” Burton, 41, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at her residence. She was born on November 9, 1982 to David Paul Smith and Jaqueline Denise (Burton) Mieritz in Houston, Texas.

Judy enjoyed singing, dancing, bowling and playing with cosmetics. She was a Beyoncé and Scorpio enthusiast. Judy loved spending time with her family and friends. She was hardworking, funny, charismatic, happy, outgoing and always the life of the party. Judy always made sure her appearance was top notch, she always smelled good and looked her best. Her favorite saying was, “Burton Girls”.

Judy is survived by her children: Shanta “Bri”, Desmond, Demarcus, Elijah, Dejah, Exavier, Jaquarius and Samuel; siblings: Shere, Janie, Jacquita, Jairus, Jalissa, Chloe, Katie, David Jr. and Courtney; biological father, David Paul Smith; mother, Jacqueline Denise Mieritz; dad, Alan D. Tisdale; and grandchildren, James “JR” and Melanie.

Judy’s friends and family may visit from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jerry Keller officiating. Repass will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the funeral home after services.
