Joseph Paul Bryant, affectionately known as Joe, was born on October 21, 1962, in Indianapolis, and he left this world on September 19, 2024. A beloved figure in the lives he touched, Joe's kindness and humor made waves far beyond his 40-year career at Frost Upholstery, where he earned the respect and admiration of both customers and colleagues alike. His ability to make people feel at ease, whether he was working in their homes or engaging with corporate executives, was a hallmark of his character.
Joe was not only a dedicated professional but also a family man who cherished his loved ones deeply. He is survived by his two children, Joseph Paul Bryant II and Mary Jane Bryant, along with five adoring grandchildren: Gage Michael Pettitt, Kaylee Jane Lapier, Alexis May Bryant, Jeremiah Alexander Bryant, and Little Joe, Joseph Paul Bryant. His family was further enriched by Tyler Hodge, who had developed a father/son relationship with Joe, demonstrating the deep bonds he formed throughout his life.
In addition to his children and grandchildren, Joe is mourned by five sisters: Tina Marie Roberts, Tammy Grace Bryant Mason, Treva Joyce Ann Bryant, Teresa Ann Turpin Satterly, and Tracy Lynn Troxell, as well as his brother, Michael Bryant. His numerous nieces and nephews, who shared countless laughs and cherished moments with him, will also miss him deeply.
Joe's proudest accomplishments include a loving partnership with Linda Lewis, who stood by him through good times and bad. Together, they created lasting memories that exemplified love and support.
Joe is predeceased by his parents, Henry (Doug) Bryant and Nellie Marie Pryor Bryant, as well as his oldest daughter, Ashley Marie Bryant Pettitt. He also grieves the loss of two brothers, Danny Bryant and James Strunk, and two sisters, Donna Bryant and Betty Strunk.
Joseph Paul Bryant’s legacy of kindness, humor, and unwavering love will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. He leaves behind a family that loves him dearly, reflecting the warmth and compassion he shared throughout his life. Joe's cousin, Tony Pryor, will officiate at his service.
