Joann Moore

Indianapolis – Joann (Atterberry) Moore, 66, passed away at 10:07 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Beech Grove Meadows in Beech Grove, Indiana. She was born to Albert Atterberry and Mattie (Wilburn) Henderson on Thursday, July 15, 1954 in Marianna, Arkansas.

Joann was united in marriage on February 18, 1983 to James Moore in Chicago, Illinois. She was a devoted homemaker most of her life. Joann was a member of Anointed Faith Deliverance Church. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, dancing and shopping.

Joann is survived by her loving children: Quintez Moore, James Moore, Jacquez Moore, Leroy Atterberry and Antwoine Atterberry; her grandchildren, Antwoinette Johnson, Lamont Collins, Shaquana Woodson, Shantania Ross, Antwoine Atterberry Jr, Anthony Ross, Demetrius Ross, India Robinson, Kayanna Moore, Kamiah Moore, Essynce Cross and Quintez Moore Jr; her father, Albert Atterberry and his wife, Beverly; her mother, Mattie Henderson and her husband, Oliver; her daughter in love, Monica Mordica; six brothers; four sisters; nine great grand-children and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Moore, daughter Shantae Atterberry, son Quintez Atterberry, two brothers, and her four grandparents.

Joann's friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Moses Collins Sr. officiating. For the health and safety of all guest attending, face masks are required. Thank you.
