Joann Couch

Indianapolis – Joann (West) Couch, age 70, passed away at 2:41 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Elza L. and Mary L. (Young) West. Joann was born on December 21, 1951 in Beech Grove, Indiana.

She married Billy Ray Couch on November 15, 1970 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Joann's hobbies were sewing, crocheting and baking. She was a member of Lighthouse of Mercy Church in Indianapolis. Joann enjoyed attending church services and gospel music. She loved her late husband and her family deeply.

In addition to her husband Billy Ray Couch, Joann was preceded in death by her daughter, Sally Joann Couch and granddaughter, Sarah Lou Couch. She is survived by her children, Carl Ray Couch and Nathaniel Ray Couch; her grandchildren, Charlotte Luinebrink, Kethry Moore, Kaetlyn Bolton, Rachel Couch, Jasmine Couch, Joseph Couch and Benjamin Couch; and her great grandchildren, Trinity Gibson, Justice Bolton and Mary Moore.

Joann's friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Lighthouse of Mercy Church, 1468 English Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46203. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Tony Burton officiating. Burial will follow at New Crown Cemetery, 2101 Churchman Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46203.
