Jerry Wayne Dunn Jr., a cherished resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on January 23, 2025, at the age of 52. Born on February 10, 1972, Jerry was a beacon of joy and laughter to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His educational journey included a focus on auto-trades classes, a testament to his hands-on skills and passion for the automotive world.
Throughout his life, Jerry cultivated a wide range of interests that brought him immense joy. He had an abiding love for music and was known for his playful spirit, often teasing his family, especially his beloved nephews. An avid sports enthusiast, Jerry was a dedicated fan of the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers, frequently sharing in the excitement of their games with family and friends.
Above all, Jerry was renowned for his big heart and his willingness to help anyone in need. His love for his family was profound, providing a strong, supportive presence in their lives. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity.
Jerry is survived by his beloved daughter, Autumn (Elizabeth) Dunn; his cherished grandson, Avery Dunn; his life partner, Kathy Dubecky; his father, Jerry Wayne Dunn Sr.; his mother, Mary Espinoza Torres; his brother, Paul Bryant; and his uncles, Rick Horn, Bobby Dunn, Dennis Dunn, and David Dunn. He is also remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews who adored him.
Jerry was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Dunn and Timothy Dunn, and his grandparents, Jewel Dunn and Hubert Dunn Jr.
In celebration of his life, a funeral service will be held on February 6 at 7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 925 East Hanna Avenue. Friends may gather for visitation from 4 pm until the time of the service.
Jerry Wayne Dunn will be deeply missed, but his spirit and laughter will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved him.
