James Anthony Edmond

Beech Grove – James Anthony "Tony" Edmond, 59, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022, at his residence. He was born December 24, 1962 in Beech Grove to James Earl "Jim" and Carol Ann Fish Edmond. Tony graduated from Greenwood High School in 1980. He began an apprenticeship at Amtrak in 1982. He went on to become department manager, but had to leave the station in 1988 due to an injury.

Tony was an avid Colts football and Cardinals baseball fan. He enjoyed collecting junk, fishing and playing the guitar. He loved his daughter deeply.

Tony is survived by his father, James Earl "Jim" Edmond; mother, Carol Ann Edmond; daughter, Ashley Edmond; siblings: Tonya Kelley, Carolyn Greenwald and Jeff Davis; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tony's friends and family may visit from 4 – 7 PM on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral will take place at 11 AM on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Newcomer with Brad Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana 46143.
