Indianapolis – James "Indio" Earlie Durivage, 76, passed away at 2:55 am on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at his residence. He was born to the late James Floyd and Dollie Margaret (Scott) Henson on October 15, 1944 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky.
James was united in marriage on July 24, 1964 to Mary Catherine Massing in Indianapolis, Indiana. He retired from Iron Mountain after many years and formerly worked for Conrail Railroad. He enjoyed listening to music and his fish tanks. James was an Elvis fanatic.
He is survived by his loving children, Shyrelle Renee Durivage, Chantel Durivage and Daman Durivage; his grandchildren, Tyler Durivage, Devin Durivage, Manda Durivage, Jalen Settles, Selena Durivage, Joslyn England and Draytan Durivage; and his siblings, James Henson, Emery Durivage Sr. and Glenda Shaw. Additionally, James is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and granddaughter, Mary Durivage-Settles.
James friends can visit from 11 am – 1 pm, on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. A Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm with Emery Durivage officiating. For the health and safety of all guest attending, face masks are required. Thank you. Burial will take place in New Crown Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana. In lieu of usual remembrances, direct memorial contributions to the family.
