James R. Covert, Sr.

James R. "Jim" Covert, Sr., age 65 of Indianapolis passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 10, 2022 at his home. He was born September 25, 1957 in Indiana the son of Banks William and Nancy (Adams) Covert. Jim was a graduate of Arsenal Tech High School. He married the love of his life Patricia Louise "Patty" Tibbs in 1976, and they shared over 45 years of marriage together until her passing earlier this year in March. Jim worked in accounts payable for Hilton Hotel Corporation. He enjoyed bowling and in his younger years he liked to work on cars. Jim was an Indianapolis Colts Football fan and would always try to watch them weekly. Jim's family finds comfort in knowing he is reunited with his love Patty.

Jim is survived by 2 sons, James R. Covert, Jr. and Brian D. Covert; sister, Julie Covert; brother, Alan Covert; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Laura Covert; and brother, Doug Covert.
