Jacqueline "Jackie" Morris, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 6,2024, surrounded by her loving family in her hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on July 17, 1953, in Indianapolis, Jackie brought an indelible warmth and joy to all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Jackie was known for her unwavering dedication to her family, always ensuring that her boys were taken care of with love and care. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she was a person who would do anything for anyone, embodying the saying that she never met a stranger. Jackie took immense pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming home, a reflection of her generous heart and the love she poured into her family.

In addition to her family life, Jackie enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including playing Bingo, shopping for treasures at Goodwill, and attending church with her cousin Mike. These interests were a testament to her lively spirit and her appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.

Jackie's proudest accomplishments lay firmly with her family. She was the loving wife of Alva Morris for 44 wonderful years and a devoted mother to her sons: Ed (Cindy) Vanhoose, Doug (Kim) Vanhoose, Mark (Beth) Vanhoose, and Marvin (Hope) Vanhoose. She cherished her role as a grandmother to 14 grandchildren and as a proud great-grandmother to 14 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Jackie is also survived by her brother Steve Smith, her sister Sheila Coffee, and several nieces and nephews, who will always remember her warmth and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Smith and Blanch (Cherry) Mirran, whose legacy of love and compassion she carried throughout her life.

The memory of Jacqueline Morris will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Her spirit of love and generosity will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
