Indianapolis - Henry C. Hall, 92, went home to be with the Lord Monday, November 2, 2020, at his residence, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born December 13, 1927 in Letcher County, Kentucky to the late Willard and Bertha Bentley Hall. Henry was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army where he served in World War II. He retired from Western Electric after 28 years of service. Henry was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).
Henry was a devout Christian who loved God, his family and his country. He loved to take care of his health and go to the gym. When not working, he enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. Additionally, he enjoyed playing the guitar and banjo, singing and listening to gospel music and his favorite hymns. He was an avid sports fan and followed racing and all sports. He kept up with the news, weather and watched many old Western movies and old shows like Andy Griffith. He loved spending time with his family and telling stories.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his faithful and loving wife of 62 years, Shirley Lucas Hall; daughters, Joni and Janet; favorite granddaughter, Amanda; sister, Mildred Burton; brother, J.R. Hall; many nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.
Henry will be remembered in a private ceremony and laid to rest at Hopewell Cemetery.
