Gary Lee Rife

Indianapolis – Gary Lee Rife, age 36, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at his residence. He was the loving son of Avery and Nancy (Gravely) Rife. Gary was born on June 1, 1985 in Indianapolis, IN.

He enjoyed listening to music and playing basketball as a child. Gary loved listening to his aunt talk about the bible and joking with his mother. He had a heart of pure gold.

Gary leaves behind his father, Avery Rife and his wife, Lisa; his mother, Nancy Rife; his siblings, Sharon Fields and her significant other, Chris Phillips, Ashley Fields and her husband, Willard and Robin Thompson and her husband, Ron; his nephews, Austin Patterson and Tyler Fields; his nieces, Christa Fields, Ericka Thompson, Alyssa Fields and Aubree Thompson; his grandmother, Opal Norman; his favorite aunt, Cathy Wilkins; as well as many extended relatives.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Gravely, brother-in-law, Chris Fields and fiancé, Whitney Balsley.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227.

Gary's friends and family may also visit from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor David McColley officiating. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery, 2703 South Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46225.
