Indianapolis – Gary Wayne Farrar, 68, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015.

Mr. Farrar was born May 21, 1947 in Beech Grove, IN. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army, where he served in Vietnam. He was a Purple Heart recipient. He was employed by Dreyer Motorsports under the tutelage of his grandfather, Pop Dreyer, for 17 years. He was currently employed by Cardwell Do It Best, where he served as a small engine mechanic.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Donnah; daughters, Penny, Kelly, and Jenny; son, Chris; step-daughter, Jodi; sister, Judy Kimbler; brother, Tom Farrar; 8 grandchildren; 1 step-granddaughter; 3 step-great grandchildren; and many other loving family members and devoted friends.

Mr. Farrar's family will receive friends Thursday, July 9, 2015, from 11 am – 1 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home at 925 East Hanna Avenue in Indianapolis. A celebration of his life will follow at 1 pm with Pastor Mark Redke officiating.
