Garry Joe Lynn

Garry Joe Lynn, born on October 30, 1957, in Indianapolis, Indiana, departed this life on March 17, 2025, in the same city. Garry was a committed professional who served as a gutter installer at Gutter Magic, where he exemplified dedication and hard work throughout his career.

Known for his generous spirit, Garry was a great son, brother, father, and husband. He lived his life going above and beyond for anyone in need, always willing to lend a hand or offer support. Garry was a man of great character and conviction, whose presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

In his leisure time, Garry found joy in various hobbies and interests, which included hunting, fishing, and watching races and football. He cherished playing horseshoes, enjoying campfires with family, and engaging in friendly dart games. These activities brought him closer to his loved ones and created lasting memories.

Garry married the love of his life, Dawn Johnson, on October 16, 1982, in Indianapolis. Dawn preceded him in death, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished moments that continue to resonate. He is survived by his children, Herchel Lynn, Christopher Lynn, Jessica Lynn, and Nicole Lynn, as well as his grandchildren: Camron Lynn, Anthony Lynn, Jordan Lynn, Coleton Lynn, and Kane Lynn. Garry will also be remembered by his siblings, including Jeff, Debbie, Sherrie, Rick, Karen, Roger, and Patti.

In addition to his wife, Garry was preceded in death by his father, Dick Lynn; and his brothers, Larry Lynn and Fred Lynn.

Visitation for Garry Joe Lynn will take place on March 29, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 925 E Hanna Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A funeral service will follow the visitation, beginning at 12:00 PM and concluding at 1:00 PM, also at Newcomer Funeral Home.
