INDIANAPOLIS - Frances Arline (Marcum) Rich, age 68, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at her residence. Daughter of RB and Virginia Mae (Deal) Marcum, she was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 4, 1953.
Frances was a housekeeper for many years before retiring due to her health declining. She always started her mornings with prayer and coffee. Anyone who crossed Frances' path loved her, she never met a stranger. In her free time, she enjoyed playing solitaire, cooking, watching the Hallmark channel, dancing and listening to music. Frances loved the Lord and her family deeply. She adored her grandchildren and cherished spending time with each and every one of them. Frances' favorite desserts were apple pie and cheesecake.
Frances is survived by her loving children: Andy Marcum and his wife, Beth, Tammy Bienz, Betty and Tana A. Bacon; her sisters: Alice Jean Reese, Betty Woodley, Kathy Nichols, Rose Mitchell, Sherry Marcum, Barbara Rich and Bertha White; her father, RB Marcum; her grandchildren: Elliot, Kathy, Gracy, Ashley, Emi, Amber, Jodi, Jesse, Joshua, Bree, Nina and Vicky; and her great grandchildren: Markese Jacobs, Diamond Jacobs, Jasmine Jacobs, Chance David Jr., Charlaya Holmes, Cordell Broomfield, Mianna Amor Broomfield, Breaisa Holmes, Lyrek Sauai lusk and Harmoni L. Strickland.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Mae Marcum and brothers, Bradley and Danny Wayne Marcum. Additionally, Frances was preceded in death by her grandson, Paul Bienz.
Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM with Robert Lim officiating. Burial will follow at New Crown Cemetery, 2101 Churchman Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46203.
