Faye Ann Nims Terry

Faye Ann Nims Terry, a cherished soul and beloved member of her community, passed away on January 20, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on September 29, 1959, in Waverly, Michigan, to Max and Barbara Nims. Faye was a dedicated stock person at Wal-Mart, where she devoted 20 years of her life to serving others.

Faye possessed a personality that radiated warmth and kindness, marking her as a very loving person with a big heart. She took great joy in the simple pleasures of life, including taking photos of anything and everything that caught her eye, playing cards with family and friends, and participating in her faith as an active member of her church. Her spirit of generosity shone brightly during the holiday season; Faye made it a point to ensure that everyone received a Christmas gift from her, regardless of the size or nature.

Throughout her life, Faye faced challenges with courage and strength, proudly overcoming leukemia twice. Her resilience served as an inspiration to those who knew and loved her.

Faye is survived by her loving sisters, Susie (Ricky) Hinkle, Milly (Ferron) Yerdon, and Linda (Charles) Martin, as well as her brother Tracy Nims. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Claude Terry and her sister Darcus Nims.

The services honoring Faye's life will take place on January 29, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 925 E Hanna Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. After the services, she will be laid to rest in a burial ceremony at New Crown Cemetery, 2101 Churchman Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46203, starting at 2:30 PM.

Faye's memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, embraced by the love she so freely gave.
