Ettamarie Cox Ritchie

Indianapolis - Ettamarie Cox Ritchie, 81, went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 8, 2021. She was born March 24, 1940 in Columbus, IN to the late Alvin "Pete" Hadley and Katherine Cox. She was employed by Carson's where she served as a welder for 21 years.

Ettamarie was a member of True Gospel Assembly. She loved going to church and spending time with friends and family. Her hobbies included singing, leading a prayer group and playing the piano which she taught herself to play.

Ettamarie was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Marie Parsley; parents, Alvin "Pete" Hadley and Katherine Cox; and sister, Carolyn Sue Bear. She is survived by her beloved husband, Philip Ritchie; daughters: Tammie Sue Hall and her husband, Charles, Vicki Lynn Ritz and her husband, Mark and Cindy Walters Stafford and her husband, Jeff; sister, Patricia Ann Conrad Fields; brothers, Thomas Leslie Sullivan and William Robert Patton and his wife, Stella; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and many other beloved family members and close friends.

Ettamarie's family will receive friends Friday, October 22, 2021, from 11 am – 12 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will be conducted at 12 pm. A committal service will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
