Indianapolis - Elvin Prentice Adkins, 44, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020. He was born December 10, 1975 in Indianapolis to the late Delmar and Lily Kisamore Adkins.
Elvin liked to say that he was a student of life. He was an adventurer at heart and loved spending time outdoors and fishing. In his spare time, he loved to paint, build things, work on cars, and read poetry. He was also very passionate about cooking. He would make the same dish over and over again until it was perfect.
Elvin was easy going and fun to be around. He loved meeting new people and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed collecting comic books and would always say, "I'm not saying that I am Batman, but have you ever seen me and Batman in the same room?"
Elvin had many joys in his life, but his biggest joy came from being a father and loving his two children Julius and Olivia. What he loved most was spending time with his two children.
Elvin is survived by his daughter, Olivia Lauren Adkins; son, Julius Alexander Adkins; sister, Malinda Gail Springston; and brother, Delmar Eugene Adkins Jr.
