Indianapolis - Elizabeth Ruth Dersch, 55, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022. She was born December 8, 1966 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Albert, Sr. and Eleanor Beeson Jern. She was employed in the insurance industry where she served as a claims adjuster.
Elizabeth graduated from Warren Central High School. She enjoyed reading, taking bubble baths and watching documentaries. She also loved vacationing with her husband and close friends in Gatlinburg, TN and Longboat Key, FL, but more than anything else, she loved spending time with her family, particularly her granddaughters.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Albert, Sr. and Eleanor Beeson Jern; brothers, Phillip and Albert Jern, Jr.; sister, Kathleen Jern; and dog, Pete. She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Brian; children: Eric, Stephanie (Joe), and Emily; granddaughters: Skyee, Luna, and one on the way; dog, Frank; siblings: Susie (James) Stephens, Greg Jern, Jeff (Cathy) Jern, DK (Mike) Pierce, Mary (Fred) Spitz, Mike (Sue) Dersch, Tracy Auber, Becky Pritt Jern, and Sheryl Williams Jern; mother-in-law (that she called mom), Tita McNew; father-in-law (that she called dad), Pete (Patty) Dersch; nephews: Aaron Borders, Darell (Whitney/Garrett/Reagan) Jern, Thomas (Olivia/Collin) Jern, Vince (Emily/Jolie/Cooper) Jern, Shane (Jennifer/Zoe/Hayden/Deacon/Drew) Spitz, Mike (Tami/Akane) Jern, Kevin Cole, Josh Jern and Grant Jern; nieces: Rachel Borders (Matt/Tyler/Paul), Chelle (Phillip/Avery/Allie/Logan) Collins, Tiffany (Craig/Lauren/Lana) Rogers, Jennifer (Ashley/Aaron/Jessica/Cole/Abi/Morgan/Megan) Morris and Samantha (Michael Sr./Austin/Michael Jr.) Schnurr.
