Eddie K. Duckworth, 88, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 15, 2017. An Indianapolis Native Eddie was born on February 1, 1929 to Hugh and Madeline (Robards) Duckworth.
Eddie was a retired Indianapolis Police Department K-9 Lieutenant, Running the K-9 Unit for last 17 years that he was with the force. A veteran of the United States Navy he served during the Korean War. He loved to go fishing.
Eddie is survived by his sons: Steve & Christie Duckworth; Mark Duckworth, Michael Duckworth; grandchildren: Brandon Duckworth, Casey Duckworth; great-grandchild: Isaac Duckworth and a host of other family and friends.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Mary Kathryn Duckworth; sister: Helen Jack; grandson: Eric Duckworth.
Visitation will be on Tuesday June 20, 2017 from 11 A.M. until the Funeral Service at 1 P.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home 925 E. Hanna Ave. Indianapolis 46227. Interment will follow at West Newton Cemetery.
