Indianapolis - Douglas Michael Miller, 59, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2024. He was born October 6, 1964 in Ionia, MI to the late Leonard Joseph and Wilma Marie Riley Miller. He graduated from PW High School in Westphalia, MI. He married Cheryl Suits on March 20, 2004 at New Whiteland Baptist Church in New Whiteland, IN. He was employed in the transportation industry where he served as a truck driver.
Douglas’ family described him as a man with a great sense of humor who was always a jokester and loved making people laugh and smile. He had a lot of hobbies including: working in the yard, making leather, fishing, playing pool, hunting, shooting and playing Santa Claus. Additionally, he loved learning about history and watching shows about history. He was a big fan of The Curse of Oak Island TV show. He also loved cookouts, donuts and driving, but more than anything else, he enjoyed spending time with his family, including his fur babies, Dallas and Maci.
Douglas was preceded in death by his son, William Miller and his parents, Leonard Joseph and Wilma Marie Riley Miller. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl Suits Miller; son, Christopher Scott and his wife, Melissa; sisters, Roseanna Miller and Peggy Miller; brothers, Tim Miller, Mike Miller and his wife, Katie and Richard Miller and his wife, Dalena; grandson, Austin Scott; and many other beloved family members and dear friends.

A celebration of life will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227.
