Dorothy Elizabeth Barnett

Indianapolis - Dorothy Elizabeth "Ms. Dottie" Barnett, 89, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019. She was born October 2, 1930 in Carter's Valley, TN to the late Robert and Lola Snapp Christian. She was employed by Hillcrest Country Club where she was well loved by the members. She loved flowers and enjoyed gardening.

Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 40 years, Roy Barnett; daughters: Geraldine McGlothlin, Donna Parker and Jennifer Knowles; sister, Grace Hawkins; and brother, Charles "Cricket" Christian. She is survived by her daughters, Pat Woods and Barbara Miller; son, Jerry "Ricky" Knowles; brother, Robert "Bob" Christian; 24 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Barnett's family will receive friends Monday, October 21, 2019, from 12 – 2 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will follow at 2 pm at the funeral home chapel.
