Donna Lynn Owen

Donna Lynn Owen, born on July 14, 1968, in Coldwater, Michigan, passed away on January 1, 2025, in Indianapolis. She is remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, known for her unwavering faith and commitment to helping others.

Throughout her career, Donna dedicated herself to the service of others. She worked as a resident assistant at Dove Recovery House, an instructional assistant at Central Nine Career Center, and had recently begun her position at Continuum Psychiatric Services. Donna's compassionate nature and strong desire to support those in need were evident in all her professional endeavors.

Education played a significant role in Donna's life, as she graduated from Ivy Tech with an associate's degree in human services. This academic achievement fueled her passion for aiding individuals on their paths to healing, especially through her deep faith in Christ.

Donna greatly loved her family, friends, and the Lord. She had a distinctive enthusiasm for Michigan Football, often sharing her passion with those around her. Her legacy will be marked not only by her professional contributions but also by the profound impact she made on her loved ones.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Owen; her daughter, Courtney Owen; her son, Isaiah (Elora) Owen; her grandson, Oliver Owen; and her granddaughter, Yaretzi Owen. Donna also leaves behind her father, Phillip Pifer.

Preceding her in death are her beloved mother, Sharon Pifer; her father-in-law, Norris Owen; and her mother-in-law, Helen Owen.

Visitation for Donna Lynn Owen will be held on January 8, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 925 E Hanna Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227. Following the visitation, a funeral service will commence at 4:00 PM and continue until 5:00 PM at the same location.

Donna will be profoundly missed and forever remembered for her warmth, kindness, and dedicated spirit. May she rest in peace.
