Donna Kay Ege

It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Donna Kay Ege, 74, of Greenwood, Indiana. Donna was born on June 25, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Harriet Robinson (Wiliams) and Lavern Robinson. She left this world on October 13, 2023.

She was extremely courageous and fought long and hard until the very end. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved each member deeply. She had an infectious smile, the best sense of humor, and could brighten up any room she entered.

Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman Ege, II. They were married on February 4, 1966, and celebrated 52 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2018. Together they built a wonderful life and a beautiful family. She was also preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Dawn Johnson. The two of them shared a tremendous bond and were the absolute best of friends. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Harriet Robinson (Williams), her father, Lavern Robinson, her brother, Bill Robinson and her sister, Linda Fowler.

She leaves behind her beloved children - daughter, Kim Ege; her son, Norman Ege, III (Edie); nine grandchildren, Tiffany Harrison, Amber Johnson, Mikey Johnson, Brandon Ege, Breanna Ege, Camry Ege, Zachary Ege, Jessalyn Ege and Raelynn Ege; three great-grandchildren, Alexis Johnson, La’Nya Harrison, and Dakota Johnson; and one great-great grandchild, Avianna Johnson. She also leaves behind her precious furbabies, who never left her side, Dash and Rowdy.

We will be celebrating Donna’s life on October 21, 2023, at Newcomer Funeral Home in Indianapolis, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11am – 1pm with services beginning at 1pm. Services will be provided by her nephew, Jeff Robinson. Burial will be immediately following the service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana.
