Donald Joseph Reasoner, Jr.

May 2, 1973 — May 23, 2020

Indianapolis - Donald Joseph Reasoner, Jr., known to his loved ones as Joey, was born May 2, 1973, in Saratoga Springs, New York. He is survived by Don and Elizabeth Reasoner, his father and stepmother; Dwayne Bud Martin, his stepfather; and Adrian Bambery, his stepsister, and her husband, Shaun, and their children, Annabelle, Aiden, and Baron. To his beloved niece and nephews, he was their Most Fabulous Uncle Dutchess. On May 23, 2020, Joey was reunited with his beloved mother, Patricia Catherine Martin, who passed away on December 28, 2018.

Joey is also survived by his loving husband of nearly 19 years, Timothy James Walsh, and their seven fur babies who were the joy of Joey's life: Mary Margaret, Henry Nathaniel, Eleanor Patricia, Ruthie Jean, Charles James, Nancy Grace, and Charlotte Rose. Their fur babies Julius Nathanial, Roxanne Eleanor, and Bella Marie were waiting for Joey so they could cross the Rainbow Bridge together.

In addition to his loving biological family, Joey was a proud member of his bonus family, the House of St. James, with countless loving friends, too many to name.

Joey enjoyed royalty, both the legacy of the British monarchy and the glamour of the entertainment industry. A true Anglophile, Joey loved all things British and collected commemorative memorabilia celebrating England's throne and read more than 100 books written about the Royal Family, particularly the Tudors and Edwardians.

Joey entered the entertainment scene nearly thirty years ago and emceed countless shows and pageants. He worked the door at the Legends Show Lounge for several years where he welcomed countless patrons with his bright smile and quick wit. Joey was also a pageant promoter and was frequently the backstage manager for shows at Bullwinkle's.

Joey loved the holidays, especially Christmas and Halloween. He was very generous and had a knack for finding the perfect gifts for others. Joey kept a very clean and disciplined household and enjoyed cooking spicy food for his loved ones. Joey also supported numerous fundraisers for animals throughout his lifetime, especially for Southside Animal Shelter, who is proudly accepting donations in Joey's memory.

Joey worked in retail, most recently at T. J. Maxx in Castleton. He studied accounting and finance at Indiana University in Bloomington.

Joey was a beloved son, brother, uncle, husband, doggie daddy, and friend. His family and friends cherish every memory he made brighter by his loving presence and genuine excitability, and he will be dearly missed until we are reunited.

Joey's family will receive friends privately due to the current environment surrounding the coronavirus.
