Donald Ray George

Donald "Donnie" Ray George, Jr. passed away at his residence in Greenwood on June 1, 2020. Donnie was born on April 3,1972 at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove.

Donnie is survived by his loving family, including: mother, Paula (Daniel) Shirrell; father, Donald Ray George; common law wife, Selena Campbell; son, Alaric Gough; step-son, Alex Campbell; brothers: Joshua and Chad (Amanda) George; sister, Lacy (Matthew) Nacke; uncle, Richard Pierce; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Donnie's life will be held on Friday June 5, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue Indianapolis. The family will receive friends from Noon until the time of service at the funeral home.

Donnie had a kind, loving, and gentle soul. He was very personable and his smile could light up any room. Donnie was very intelligent and unique; he was a bright light in our lives. He loved his family and friends very much. His passions included music and playing his guitar. Donnie loved rock music and some of his favorite bands were Sonic Youth, MC5, Black Sabbath, Dinosaur Jr., and Nirvana. We will all miss his friendly, beautiful smiling face for as long as we live.
