Indianapolis, IN – On September 30th, 2021 Diane Christine Blankenship passed away at Community Hospital South. She was sixty-eight years old.
Diane entered into life on October 21st, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas. Born to Cleo (Swan) Haium and George Haium, she attended Washington High School, graduating in 1970. She then attended both Indiana State and Vincennes University graduating in 1974 with a bachelor's degree.
Diane started with the State of Indiana Department of Revenue in 1974. She worked there until passing away in 2021. During a career that spanned four and a half decades, Mrs. Blankenship made many life-long friends. She went above and beyond for not only her position but also her life and the people in it.
An avid reader, Diane's favorite genre was science fiction stories that she could read with her cats. She also enjoyed being in nature, Sudoku puzzles, and all the time she could get with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son Cameron Blankenship; brother David (Cheryl) Haium; her niece Mara (Josh) Haium-White; great nephew Sebastian Haium-White; and her best friend for over forty years Tom Hunt.
A Memorial Service will be held for Diane at a future date and time to be determined.
