Denton Ricardo Ewers

Indianapolis - Denton Ricardo Ewers, 59, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023. He was born August 22, 1963 in Riverside, California to the late Dalton Ewers and Rosemary Porter. Denton attended Laquinta High School. He was employed in the transportation industry where he served as a semi-truck driver.

Denton's hobbies included cooking, spending time with his family and pretty much anything outdoors, particularly fishing and camping. He loved his family, his car, football, beer, Elvis, Ponchito and western movies and music. Denton enjoyed making people laugh and telling jokes. He enjoyed serving other people. Even in death, he served others as an organ donor.

Denton was preceded in death by his father, Dalton Ewers and his mother, Rosemary Porter. He is survived by his daughters, Nicole Dominguez and Amber Vasquez; son, Gene Ewers; siblings: Penny Ewers, Gene Ewers, Elliott Johnson, Aaron Johnson and Richard Johnson; grandchildren: Juanito, Martin, Alicia, Mateo, Tatiana, Carlos, Arieana and Iredessa; and many other loving family members and dear friends.

Denton's family will receive friends Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 11 am – 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Reception, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of his life will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home chapel.
