Dennis Lee Van Duyn

Dennis Van Duyn, born on December 30 1972, entered eternal rest on March 5, 2024. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Eliza Etheridge. Dennis leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever be held dear by his family and friends.

Dennis is survived by his devoted parents, Tina and Tom Etheridge, who provided him with unwavering support and love throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by his sisters, Dawn Etheridge, Denise Hatchett, Deanna Kessinger, Ginger Edwards and his brother CJ Weir, who shared countless moments of laughter and joy with him.

Dennis was a loving father to his six children, Paul, Heather, Adam, Logan, Dennis Wade, and Willow Van Duyn. His children were the pride and joy of his life, and he took great pride in watching them grow and succeed. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, guidance, and strength.

In addition to his children, Dennis was blessed with two precious grandchildren, Keith and Kolton Norman. He adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. Their laughter and joy brought immense happiness to his life.

Dennis had a very large extended family, including several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He shared special bonds with each of them and valued the time spent together, creating lasting memories and strong connections. Dennis was a man who valued the importance of family and friendship. He was surrounded by a close-knit circle of friends and family who provided him with love, support, and comfort. His warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew him.

As we mourn the loss of Dennis, let us also celebrate the incredible person he was and the impact he had on our lives. May his memory serve as a reminder to cherish our loved ones, to embrace life's adventures, and to always hold onto the precious moments we share.

Family and friends are invited to attend and share their memories of a remarkable man who touched their lives in countless ways. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. A celebration of life will take place at 1:00 PM. A reception will follow after services at Dawn Etheridge’s residence, additional information will be available the day of services.
